Style Diaries: March 2021

Autumn has officially started in my neck of the woods and I am loving the in-between weather that we’ve been experiencing. It is by far my favourite season and I’ve enjoyed getting back into the swing of dressing for the cooler months ahead. Having worked hybrid weeks now for over a couple of months, I’m back into the rhythm of getting dressed for work in a corporate environment. It’s been nice to post outfits that I’ve been wearing to the office after almost a year of bunkering down at home.

Senreve Mini Maestra Bag Review + A Discount Code!

If there’s one bag that has made serious waves on social media, it would be the Maestra Bag by Senreve, a female-founded start-up brand that specialises in direct-to-consumer luxury bags. Since the bag was launched, it has been embraced by celebrities and its social media presence has exploded over the years, thanks to its strong use of social media marketing. The reviews of the bag have been mixed, though there is much praise for the quality and versatility of the bag. I was fortunate enough to receive the Mini Maestra Bag in Pebbled Forest and having road-tested the bag for the past few months, I thought I’d share my thoughts.

I’m sure you’ve all heard the saying “Dress for the job you want, not the one you have.” And while clothing isn’t everything (it won’t make up for a lack of knowledge or ability), the right outfit can complement your skills. I know I can do a good job, but the right outfit makes me feel like I can do a great job!

Everlane Dream Pant Review

With extended periods of time spent at home, there’s no denying that we’ve never quite appreciated loungewear as much as we have in recent times. Our trusty companion for laying on the sofa binge-watching shows or curling up in bed with a good book & a cup of tea or working from home (or living at work…). I’m sporting Everlane’s Dream Pant in Dark Forest and the name speaks for itself – they really are a dream come true and these can be best described as tailored trousers that feel like sweat pants. I share my thoughts on sizing and quality in this post.

Sarah Flint Perfect Pump Review + A Discount Code!

Like most of you, I have a love-hate relationship with heels (I love them, but they seem to hate me). Last month, I was lucky enough to receive a pair of Sarah Flint’s “Perfect Pumps” in Taupe with the 85mm heel which purport to provide all-day comfort without sacrificing style. Despite the bold claims of the pumps, I wasn’t expecting miracles. Suffice to say, my skepticism was turned on its head after a few seconds in these heels. These are, hands-down, the most comfortable pumps I have ever tried on. In this post, I share my comprehensive thoughts.

Jackets to Help you Navigate the Transitional Seasons

Jacket weather has kicked into gear here in Sydney and I’ve been making great use of my outerwear specially made for these transitional seasons. Wherever you are in the world, and whether you’ve just started Spring or Autumn, you may be finding the weather teetering between warm and cool which can make it a little confusing getting dressed for the day. And while I love getting rugged up in all my layers during the dead of winter, there is a sense of freedom that comes with ‘lightweight jacket’ weather and not having to drape yourself in a million layers before stepping foot out the door. With the recent cool change (including some rainy days), I’ve been road-testing some Everlane jackets for the transitional seasons and I thought I’d round up my picks to help you navigate these next couple of months with ease.
