Five of my Favourite Autumn Outfits

With winter officially kicking off next week, I wanted to look back on my favourite season and highlight five of my favourite outfits of Autumn. There are so many reasons why Autumn is my favourite season – the foliage, the temperate climate, the lightweight-jacket weather (and not yet needing to layer up like a marshmallow before heading out the door…). Here’s a round-up of my top 5 ensembles from Autumn.

How to Budget for Work Clothes at Different Stages of Your Career

You’ve probably come across the age-old saying: Dress for the job you want, not the job you have. Translation: your workwear is a device for you to make clear your professional intentions. So whether you’re a graduate, or whether you’re well into your mid-career, the way you dress carries significant weight (…no pressure!). Despite this, it doesn’t mean you have to fork out a lot of your hard-earned dollars to look the part. With a few tricks up your sleeve, you can approach shopping for workwear in a considered manner and make some strategic choices along the way to get more bang for buck.

Nicholas Kirkwood Beya Loafers Review

I’ve added a fair few pairs of shoes to my wardrobe in the last six months and have found some ‘ride-or-dies’ in the process. One of those being the Nicholas Kirkwood Beya Loafers, a pair that I finally added to my collection late last year. The Beya Loafers have been around for a few years and they’ve been on my radar since their release, but the only thing that stopped me from buying them all those years ago was the price tag: they retail for upwards of $700. So when they were discounted as part of the post-Christmas sales last year, I snagged a pair in my size and I haven’t looked back.

Everlane Drape Trench Coat Review

There’s nothing quite as polished and practical as a trench coat. It’s the ultimate forever piece in your wardrobe and a lightweight jacket that is perfect for the in-between weather during the shoulder seasons of Spring and Autumn. Here are my thoughts on the style that I have in two colours.

Shoes So Nice, I Got Them Thrice!

One of my greatest discoveries this year has been Sarah Flint. Her Perfect Pumps are exactly that, perfection! Now that I’ve got three pairs of the Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 85 in the core colours that I wear to the office (black, taupe and navy), I miiiight try out her other styles now! Cushioning, stability, support aren’t really traits that you’d find in shoes that are meant to be fashionable but thankfully, we’ve got Sarah Flint to thank for questioning the status quo. Her ‘Perfect’ range of shoes makes vast improvements to the uncomfortable conditions you would normally subject your foot to.

Totême’s Collection – The Pieces on my Wish List

I recently splurged on a Totême coat and the brand has got me hook, line and sinker. Luxe and minimal tailoring – it’s no surprise that the label is on the radars of fashion editors and the street style set alike. Every item in their collection is perfect and my wardrobe is here for it. The Stockholm-based brand was founded by fashion blogger Elin Kling in 2014 and creates classic wardrobe staples with a modern edge. And while the pieces are classic, the silhouettes play with proportion creating contemporary silhouettes. Think oversized blazers, coats with exaggerated collars and knits with statement sleeves. So I thought I’d share the pieces that are on my radar and the items that I’d love to add to my wardrobe.
