A Couple of Relaxed Outfits I’ve Recently Been Sporting

My husband and I have enjoyed some much needed time off work with our boys over the Christmas and New Year period. We’ve been going on daily walks to get some fresh air and enjoying more takeaway meals than usual! I thought I’d share a couple of relaxed looks I’ve enjoyed sporting during my time off and highlight some of the pieces I’ve enjoyed wearing these past couple of weeks.

Favourite Outfits of 2020

Happy New Year everybody! To reflect on the year that was, I wanted to share my favourite outfits of the year. 2020 was a big year for all of us. Not only did many of us spend the majority of the year working our traditional office jobs from home but it meant that the usual dress codes were cast by the wayside. I’ve embraced relaxed but polished looks to wear when reporting for duty from the… well, nursery (as I’ve set up a proper workstation in there while my youngest is in day-care for the day!) and not only have I embraced relaxed looks, but I’ve grown to really love them. On the days that I did head in to the office, it was fun to dust off my favourite workwear pieces and give them a bit of love.

Top 10 Style Favourites of 2020

I don’t like playing favourites (at least that’s what I tell my kids) but there were some stand-out pieces that I heavily relied upon more than others. The pieces that feature on my favourites list are ones that I’ve found easy to style, are comfortable to wear and make me feel put together. And while I did post my workwear favourites from last year, considering I haven’t spent that much time in the office, this year’s favourites list won’t be workwear centric and encompasses the pieces that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed wearing year round.

One Item, Four Ways: Frankie Shop Bea Camel Trousers

Earlier this year, I decided that I was upping my pants game. No longer am I spending money on pants that look great but aren’t comfortable enough to sit in for more than 10 minutes. Also, goodbye to pants that crease easily and are made of high maintenance fabrics demanding expensive trips to the dry cleaner. From now on, it’s comfortable trousers that fit and feel like a dream. Too much to ask? I thought so too, but even I outdid myself with the pair I discovered!

Why I Decided to Part Ways with my Prada Saffiano Double Tote

I talk a lot about luxury bags here on my blog – mainly about wearing them and buying them. (And I think it’s safe to say that when it comes to luxury goods, I’m far more comfortable being a customer than a seller!) With their hefty price tags, buying a luxury handbag is always a big deal. But, as I’ve experienced over the years, and more recently in the past few weeks, letting go of a designer bag is a pretty major as well. I share with you my thought process before deciding to let go of my Prada Saffiano Double Tote.

The New Everlane Oversized Wool Blazer

Here are my thoughts on one of Everlane’s hero staples – the Oversized Wool Blazer. The Everlane Oversized Wool Blazer has been around for several years now, and comes in a variety of classic shades. It’s a popular piece, and it always sells out fast, which I put down to the fact that it’s a fabulous wardrobe all-rounder. I have the Oversized Wool Blazer in Beige Twill, a light neutral shade that is a new release hue for the current season.
