what vee wore: a personal style blog for work based in Sydney, Australia
_______________
Hello!
I’m Vee and welcome to whatveewore!
Here you’ll find styling tips and outfit inspiration to help you curate a closet of considered pieces for both work and off-duty, insights about career and musings on balancing work and home life.
Personal style ethos
My personal style centres around classic pieces and I always gravitate towards the sophisticated and minimal. In recent times I’ve been enjoying a colour palette of neutral tones which deliver impact through their simplicity but remain versatile enough to be worn many ways.
I take a considered approach before adding anything to my wardrobe as the items that are still going strong are the classics that were purchased after much research, planning and deliberation. Whether pieces are high-end, high street, staples or special occasion wears, by making wise choices on fabric, fit and construction, you can make for an extended life for those pieces.
I elevate high street with high end through luxury bags and accessories (the majority of which I purchased before kids were in the picture!). This can give your look an incomparable lift.
I endeavour to post the items featured in my looks over on my LTK page.
What you’ll find here
I’m a serial outfit repeater. But my confession means you’ll find a lot of outfit inspiration that will have you dusting off forgotten pieces to wear in new ways for work and off-duty.
Apart from being a workwear style blog, I like to get in-depth with my luxe pieces and have written comprehensive reviews about my bags (which mainly comprise of Celine) as well as my luxe accessories (including my Gucci belt) and how they’ve served me over the years.
My day job
I’ve been a lawyer for over 10 years.
what vee wore began after my first stint of maternity leave and I share my insights into returning to work after having a baby (spoiler alert – it’s no easier the second time round) as well as achieving a work/life balance.
My family
I live in Sydney, Australia (on Gadigal land) with my husband and our four boys – two by marriage (12 and 10) and two together (5 and 3). I’m very blessed to be the queen of my house of men and they are a true source of joy (and energy!).

Thank you so much for stopping by.
