Scanlan Theodore End of Season Sale: My Top Picks

Howdy folks! The Scanlan Theodore End of Season Sale has officially kicked off and as is tradition, I’ve browsed the entire thing. Thoroughly. I regularly receive text messages from the sales associates at the Melbourne boutique whenever their sales begin (not because of my blog or anything glamorous – simply because I bought these things back in March). It only takes one shopping trip in Melbourne for you to be on their customer service radar. Sydney, meanwhile, has a more ‘see ya when I see ya’ approach.

Discounted Scanlan always feels like an achievement. Because of the price tag, they’re not usually regular or impulse buys for me (except for this adventure but I stand by my purchases). Once they’re in my wardrobe though, they become some of the hardest working pieces I own.

I tend to limit my in-store visits (largely for the sake of my wallet), but I’m constantly browsing the website, which is arguably just as dangerous. So, as a public service, I’ve rounded up the pieces that have caught my eye from this End of Season Sale. I’ve kept this edit fairly short. Some of these pieces are around 20% off and, in true Scanlan Theodore fashion, some of them are… less enthusiastically discounted.

Let’s go!

Italian Curved Waist Jacket

This silhouette is so good. The curved waist creates such a flattering shape (it feels very Jacquemus-y). The taupe colour is great too – a modern take on classic tailoring.

Tech Skirt

I’ve tried this on multiple times in store and have never really forgotten about it. I love the full silhouette and the structured fabric gives it that slightly architectural feel that Scanlan does so well.

Crepe Knit Cocoon Jacket

This is probably the piece I’m most tempted by. There’s something incredibly chic about a collarless blazer, and Scanlan’s crepe knit remains the gold standard for me. It’s beautifully heavyweight with plenty of structure, but it never feels stiff. I love how it tapers in at the wrists.

Lace Trim Skirt

The contrast lace trim makes this such an interesting piece – it adds a bit of interest without overwhelming the minimal silhouette – the pencil shape makes it incredibly wearable for both work and events.

Trench Skirt

Trench inspired skirts are having a bit of a moment, but this colour is what really drew me in. Such a fun way to embrace the trend without defaulting to beige.

Babywool Polo Neck Top

I’m a huge fan of these fine knit tops for layering. They make fantastic base layers throughout the A/W period and the polo neck gives this one a particularly polished feel. This colour is also great.

Tech Trench Coat

If minimal outerwear is your thing, I’d definitely have a look at this one. Clean lines, an understated A-line silhouette and the kind of jacket that becomes the outfit.

Crepe Knit Shoulder Pad Top

Sadly, the shoulder pad tees that I’ve been wearing on repeat haven’t made an appearance in the sale this time around. That said, Scanlan Theodore remains one of my favourite places to find elevated “nice tops”, and this is a really lovely option. The sculptural shoulder detail makes it feel dressier than your average knit top, while still being versatile enough to wear casually or with tailored pieces.

Thanks for stopping by! As always, if you’re planning to shop the sale, I’d recommend moving fairly quickly. The best sizes and colours have a habit of disappearing pretty quickly!
