I’ve added some very good stuff to my wardrobe in recent weeks and feel compelled to share these joy sparking acquisitions with you.
Before we begin, some necessary context so you can fully appreciate why these pieces have been hitting so hard:
- I love dressing for the cooler weather
- I love a cosy jacket
- I love effortless beauty
With the important context now established, let’s get straight into it.
Sportscraft Barn Jacket
I think this might be one of the best pieces Sportscraft has released in a long time. I’m pretty sure this is the second iteration of the barn jacket they released last year (the original had a subtle checked pattern), and holy moly – it feels incredibly premium and looks far more expensive than the price tag suggests.

I opted for my usual size 8 and it’s got that perfect roomy fit with enough space for layering underneath without overwhelming my frame.
Sportscraft sent this to me late last week and I’ve already worn it three times, which tells you everything you need to know. There’s also a very similar version from VRG GRL if you prefer something with slightly toned-down detailing.
Bared Footwear Lace Up Boots
I appreciate I’m a bit of a broken record when it comes to Bared shoes, but I haven’t met a pair I didn’t like – and these are no exception.

Bared Footwear boots*, Atmos&Here cable knit jumper* (sz 8), Gucci scarf (similar here), Saben bag*, Uniqlo pants (sz S), Oliver Peoples sunglasses
These chocolate brown combat boots got a serious workout during my recent trip to Queenstown with my husband (a dedicated blog post about that trip is currently in the works). I walked 15k steps, cycled for an entire day in them, and they handled everything beautifully.
As expected with Bared, they also feature all the comfort elements the brand is known for, so they feel supportive without sacrificing style.
Uniqlo Fleece Cardigan
I genuinely cannot believe this thing is only $60. It’s such a good jacket.

A note about sizing – I picked up a size S, but if I were having another crack at it, I’d size up for a slightly slouchier fit. The fleece itself is incredibly cosy and because of the texture, it won’t pill or age as easily as traditional fleece does.
Merit Beauty
Merit definitely isn’t new to my makeup rotation, but they’re currently offering free shipping to Australia on orders over $100, so it feels like a good time to mention them. I first got into the brand by buying one of their big sets, and I haven’t looked back – if you’re after an easy and effortless makeup routine, this is their schtick.

And if your basket hits $150, they’ll also throw in a free travel pouch. One thing I appreciate about Merit is that their GWPs never feel junky or like filler – they’re actually pretty solid quality.
The Minimalist Complexion Stick remains excellent (I wear the shade Sand year round), but their blushes are still my favourites. I particularly love layering Fox and Lusitano together for a warmer look.
Sézane Kais Coat
Another piece that accompanied me to Queenstown. I felt extremely stylish wearing this coat – the mustard shade is such a delight and a welcome change from the sea of black winter outerwear.

Sezane coat (sz FR 36 / US 4 / AU 8), Bared Footwear low heels*, Oliver Peoples sunglasses
It’s also genuinely warm. The coat is made from 100% wool and comes with a matching scarf, which somehow elevates the whole thing even further when casually draped over the shoulder.
Bellroy Luggage
I’ve clocked quite a few work trips this year and have properly enjoyed putting my Bellroy luggage through its paces.

Their hard shell cases comes in some incredible colours, and I’ve found myself moving away from practical black and leaning into brighter tones instead. Aside from looking great, it also makes spotting your luggage on the baggage carousel much easier. Small joys.
Patagonia Things
Finally: cosy gorpcore-adjacent things (my gorpcore Pinterest board is getting the most love right now!). This is honestly where I’m happiest wardrobe-wise – particularly for taking the boys to their training & games, weekend errands, WFH days, and generally existing during autumn/winter.
I picked up a few fleecy Patagonia pieces recently and have been so happy with them. Patagonia fleece always feels like a real treat with it being technical and incredibly warm.

The Retro Pile Vest I bought is actually from the men’s range (their men’s range is so much better than the women’s imho), and I’m wearing the Synchilla Jacket as I type out this blog post. Both feel incredibly high quality and very much like pieces I’ll still be wearing years from now.
Thanks for stopping by!
