I’ve always loved COS for its elevated approach to everyday dressing – clean lines, premium fabrics, and those architectural shapes that make even the simplest outfit feel intentional. Recently the team sent across a few pieces from their new collection for me to try, and while this post isn’t sponsored, I thought it was worth sharing my honest thoughts. At 5’2 (158cm), their signature oversized cuts can be a gamble but after testing a few new arrivals with petite proportions in mind, I was pleasantly surprised.

Every piece slotted seamlessly into my transitional wardrobe and (the true test!) not a single item needed altering. The jeans in particular deserve their own round of applause: no hemming required, which feels like a minor miracle in petite land.
Let’s get into it.
#1 – This tie detail maxi dress

COS dress* (sz AU 8), Sezane loafers
An easy throw-on dress that feels instantly elevated thanks to the tie details at the neckline and waist. On me, it skims the ankle – the perfect maxi length without any alterations. The fabric deserves a special mention – it’s wrinkle-resistant, with a beautiful drape that moves as you walk. In other words, a strong candidate for travel – no ironing required and chic straight out of a suitcase. I stuck with my usual size AU 8.
#2 – Striped boat neck top

I’ll always have time for a striped top, and I’ve worn this one 3 times this week! This one feels timeless, and the boat neckline is really sophisticated. Easy to wear tucked into jeans or layered under a blazer. I’m wearing a size S and it’s a relaxed fit on me.
#3 – This knot detail t-shirt

A wardrobe staple with a twist. The knot details give the basic tee a modern twist, and those design features make it feel like a considered top. Length-wise, it works tucked into high-waist trousers without overwhelming my frame. I’m wearing a size S.
#4 – Knitted t-shirt

COS knitwear always feels premium, and this t-shirt is no exception. The fabric has enough weight to drape nicely without clinging. It’s a classic piece you can wear under blazers or on its own.
#5 – Oversized flared poplin midi dress

COS dress* (sz AU 8), Sezane loafers
As someone petite, oversized COS dresses can sometimes veer into “swamped” territory – but this one works. The flared cut balances out the volume, and the midi length sits at a flattering spot on my knee. It also comes with an optional tie belt giving you the option of changing the shape of the silhouette entirely. I’m wearing a size AU 8.
#6 – Tapered jeans in washed black

And finally, the true test of any petite-friendly piece – do the jeans need hemming? These didn’t – huzzah! They hit right at the ankle, and the tapered cut keeps them looking polished. A win-win.
I’m so pleased with these new season pieces from COS, particularly with how well they worked on my frame. If you’re after elevated everyday staples with a slight twist, these are well worth a look.
As always thanks so much for stopping by.
