There are wardrobe staples, and then there are pieces that quietly earn favourite status – on constant repeat without even trying. For me, the Tailor Shirt from Power of My People is exactly that. I already own it in white and lilac, and adding the light blue oxford to the mix was a no-brainer – it fills that sweet spot between classic, cool and completely effortless.
And honestly? It might be my favourite yet.

A Forever Kind of Shirt
Power of My People has nailed the formula with the Tailor shirt, a relaxed, softly structured silhouette – a crisp, breathable 100% cotton fabric with just enough weight to drape well without being stiff. The tailoring of the shirt feels just as good dressed up as it does thrown on casually. Every time I put mine on, I’m reminded why I keep coming back to it.
The light blue version is especially versatile – it’s softer than white, subtler than lilac, and easy to wear across seasons. It has that traditional oxford texture, but the colour gives it a bit of a refresh: classic, but not stuffy. I’ve taken it along with me on work trips and I’ve worn it on the weekend with shorts & sneakers – it’s a true chameleon.
For reference, I always size up to a Medium in my Power of My People shirts, even though I’m usually a size AU 8 / US 4. I like a slightly more relaxed, borrowed-from-the-boys-fit – it gives me room to layer, roll the sleeves easily and wear it open without it feeling too stiff or boxy.

One of the things I love most about this shirt (across all 3 colours) is how adaptable it is. It can take on many different personalities including:
- Polished and work-ready – tucked into tailored trousers with a belt, or layered under a blazer. It looks great with loafers and low heeled shoes
- Laid-back and off-duty – half tucked into denim, sleeves pushed up, paired with sneakers or sandals. It’s effortless and easy.
- Light outer layer – We love a shacket in this part of the internet. I took my linen Power of My People shirt to Japan with me and loved wearing it open over a tank – especially in the warmer months. It adds that extra something.
- Styled up – with some chunky earrings and statement shoes – it’s simple but hits just right.
Whether I’m reaching for the white, lilac and now the blue, it’s the same story – these instantly shirts make me feel put together.

Hi Vee, i was about to buy a POMP shirt (using your code of course) but noticed a shipping fee of $56 to Australia, what a turn off. I was mulling on buying this for like 3 months now, and now that I have finally decided and checking out my cart the shipping fee really turned me off. I am trying to reach to them if there’s any cheaper option. Did you get any cheaper workarounds on this?
Cheers,
Irene
