If you missed the memo, I recently caught the Henne bug, and oh boy, it’s not looking to go away anytime soon. I placed 3 orders in a short period of time and have very quickly fallen for the brand.  Before trying their pieces, I was skeptical of how they would fit, given my petite proportions. But curiosity got the better of me (plus the safety of friendly-ish returns) and I bit the bullet and bought a few of their signature items and my wardrobe is SO much happier for it.

If you want to watch me unpack those orders and share my initial thoughts in a yappy try-on, I’ve popped those videos down below for you. I assure you, it’s the most riveting content.

Here’s the first unboxing:

And here’s the second:

In today’s post, I’m going to be highlighting one particular standout piece from their collection – the Nova jacket. I have NO idea how I managed to nab this back in July, because it has been sold out for months since. But oh my goodness, it is one of the coolest jackets in my wardrobe. Those that are close to me, will confirm that I’m really quite daggy and totally uncool. But this jacket works to mislead everyone into thinking I’m the complete opposite. It wields magical powers.

Henne jacket (sz XXS) styled with L: Arket tee (sz S), Navy skirt (similar here, here and here), Bared boots, Gucci bag (review here – AU link, US link, UK link also here), Francesca earrings*, Status Anxiety sunglasses*; R: Arket tee (sz S), Henne jeans (sz 27), Gucci loafers (watch my styling video here), Gucci bag (review here – AU link, US link, UK link also here), Francesca earrings*, Status Anxiety sunglasses*

It’s an oversized, slouchy style, which at first, I was worried would totally overwhelm me. But the style works on my frame because of the ability to cinch the jacket at the hem and at the cuffs – huzzah! I went with the smallest size (2XS) and it’s very relaxed – so that’s something to keep in mind if you wear a similar size to me (AU 8 / US 4). Notably, the jacket is made from Henne’s signature vegan leather fabrication. Unlike cheap pleathers, the material is supple and soft to the touch. The texture also works well to mimic real leather. So I’m quite pleased.

In what can be best described as a visual love sonnet to the jacket, here are some of the outfits that I’ve managed to style, showcasing its versatility and all-round awesomeness.

The jacket has only just recently been restocked so my advice to you is to not dawdle. RUN folks. You won’t regret it!
