A couple of weeks ago, I ventured down to Melbourne for an overnight work trip and like many of the work travellers among us, it was strictly a carry-on only affair. I took my Carry-On Light Case from July* and my Bellroy Tokyo Wonder Tote* (review here) and there was more than enough room to house the things I needed to make it a comfortable trip.

The timing of my trip coincided with the tail end of summer, so thankfully I didn’t cart a large or bulky jacket. I would have chosen to take my slightly larger (but still carry-on only case) if I was travelling during a colder season, which I shared in this video sharing my work travel essentials.

Everything I Wore / Packed

Airport outfit

The Fold London dress* (unfortunately sold out!), Bared Footwear sandals (sz 36 – featured here), July case*, Bellroy bag* (review here)

Day 2 outfit

Sezane shirt (sz US 4 / AU 8), Frankie Shop trousers (sz S), Bared Footwear sandals (sz 36 – featured here), July case*, Bellroy bag* (review here)

And everything else…

Dyson Airwrap – I took the 40mm barrel attachment with me to give my hair a quick spruce up!

Bellroy Toiletries Kit* – all of my beauty essentials and toiletries were neatly housed in this case. I love how the bag is internally configured, including a separate area for your toothbrush so it doesn’t interfere with your other bits and bobs.

Bellroy Crossbody Bag* – I always get caught short on work trips without a small bag to use when heading out for work dinners and meals. I’m very pleased this came along with me!

Activewear (which, despite the best of intentions, got zero use 🙃) – my lululemon Align tights* (sz US 6), my lululemon Align top* (sz US 6), my lightweight Patagonia jacket (similar here) and my lululemon sneakers (due to be released next week) all came along with me. I had hoped to squeeze in either a morning workout or walk but ended up taking advantage of the kid-free time and slept in instead. Time well spent?! Absolutely. No regrets.

Pyjamas – most of my PJs are from Peter Alexander and I was fortunate enough to receive them as gifts from my mum. Not only do that have the cutest prints but their Easy PJ pants are a favourite because they’re petite friendly.

As always, thanks for stopping by!
