It’s been less than a week since these sandals arrived on my doorstep, but I have a feeling you’re going to be rather acquainted with them by the end of summer! I ordered the Bared Bittern sandals a couple of weeks ago having had them on my wish list for a few months. I was secretly hoping they would be on sale during the frenzied Black Friday period but alas, they remained at full price, so I bit the bullet and bought them shortly afterwards. I love a good pair of fisherman sandals (see here) – they remind me of the jelly sandals I wore as a kid, but I also think they’re a sophisticated sandal choice and make any outfit look effortless. Another plus is that they’re work friendly, particularly if your office has adopted a ‘dress for your day’ policy or a smart casual dress code. The additional coverage over the toes means they look a lot dressier than thinner strapped styles.

This past week alone, I’ve worn the sandals to work as well as schlepping around with the family on the weekend. As is the case with all shoes from Bared, they’re really comfortable. The brand was founded by a podiatrist and the secret to their all-day comfort is the biomechanical footbed. It’s one of the rare footwear brands that offers both comfort and style. This isn’t my first Bared rodeo – I bought these sandals a couple of months ago and, the rest is history. My Bared obsession continues!
Here are 3 ways I’ve styled my newest Bared sandals:
Bared Bittern sandals (sz 36), lululemon tank* (sz US 6 – US link, AU link), Bellroy Tokyo Wonder Tote* (featured here), Anine Bing skirt (sz S, also here and here), Arms of Eve earrings, Status Anxiety sunglasses*
P.S. My top S/S must haves!
