Ever since I started purposefully curating my wardrobe, I’ve honed in on core staples that can be mixed and matched. While I don’t track the cost-per-wear of my items as closely as I used to, the longstanding items in my wardrobe is testament to the fact that I’ve invested in some hard working staples that still have many years of life ahead. I’m always a little smug when I get asked about an item I’m wearing that’s a few seasons old. These ride-or-die pieces don’t come around often!

One of my recent wardrobe additions is this denim jacket from Sezane. Not your typical denim jacket silhouette, but a relaxed, oversized version with a generous dash of French chic. Like most of Sezane’s signature pieces, the Will jacket is hugely popular and comes in a host of different colours and fabrics. It constantly sells out but thankfully, it’s back – perfect for the transitional season we find ourselves in.
In my most recent Sezane try-on video on my YouTube channel (see below), I finally tried the Will jacket in the classic denim version. If you haven’t watched that video, then – spoiler alert – it’s the best item I bought out of the 4 pieces I tried. I’d previously tried on the style in khaki and while I liked it, it didn’t blow me away – so I sent it back after careful deliberation. Eight months later, I finally got my hands on the denim version. It is, in my opinion, the superior version of the Will jacket out of all the versions they have available.
As I prepare to pack away my heavy duty coats to prepare for the warmer season, you’ll be seeing this piece feature in a lot more of my transitional outfits – I have good vibes that this will be one of my wardrobe ride-or-dies for years to come! (It also helps that Sofia Richie’s a fan 😉) I’ve already had some fun styling the outfit in some simple off-duty looks that speak to the ‘quiet luxury’ aesthetic, both of the outfits in this post are easy enough to recreate without too much thought (or addition) to your wardrobe.

I picked up a size XS in the jacket (I’m an AU 8 / US 4) and I’m really happy with how it fits. As for styling, I’ve been enjoying rolling up the sleeves – I think it adds an overall relaxed vibe to my outfits.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
