Guys – I’ve found a bloomin’ good occasion dress (pun intended 🤓). Romantic & floaty, flattering silhouette and a high neckline – it ticks all my boxes. Despite having no upcoming events, I’ve justified keeping this beauty in my wardrobe for reasons I will justify below.

The overall aesthetic first drew me to this dress – daisies happen to be my favourite flower. While I don’t typically gravitate towards prints, or floral dresses for that matter, this daisy-print beauty from Oroton takes the traditional floral dress and transforms it into a modern piece. It both looks as if I fished it out of my mum’s wardrobe but also as if I just went to the store and picked it up (neither of which I did, because I bought it online 👩🏻‍💻). I just love how it feels modern and timeless at the same time.

Design-wise, it’s both a stylish and practical style to wear. One of my biggest bugbears with event dresses is that glamour doesn’t necessarily mean comfort. I’m always tugging or pulling at something to make sure it’s sitting right or I’m not accidentally flashing. There are no such worries with this style – the A-line silhouette means I can eat to my heart’s content without any food belly showing and the higher neckline (which can also be unbuttoned to be more of a V-neck) means I can crouch down and tend to my kids without putting my chest on display.

As always, thanks for stopping by!
