I’m not sure what it is exactly, but there is something so exciting about dressing for the Autumn season. The transition to cooler weather means we can finally embrace those cosier pieces we haven’t seen for months and personally, I much prefer covering up than sporting those barely there looks of summer.

I’m relying on a few wardrobe faithfuls to take me through this year’s A/W season, but I’m having a play with some more relaxed silhouettes, as you can see here in an Autumn outfit I sported a few weekends ago and featured in this reel. The top is one you’ve seen on my blog / Instagram many a time – I’ve got this Arket merino top in 7 colours wear it to work and on weekends. The top is thin and breathable and the cut is fitted making it an ideal piece for layering. Though the weather wasn’t too chilly on the day I sported this outfit so I’ve styled it on its own.

To contrast with the fitted cut of the top, I took some style advice from Gen Z and paired some relaxed denim jeans to balance out the proportions. These are a petite style from Nobody Denim, my go-to brand when it comes to jeans, and I love the classic blue wash on these.

I’ve embraced ugly comfort in the form of my shoes – my Birkenstock Boston mules in taupe have been my most worn off-duty shoes since I finally picked them up a couple of months ago. I’d almost given up chasing a taupe pair and made do with a lighter beige pair that I bought midway through last year. But out of the blue I received a notification from Matches Fashion that they’d restocked the taupe and I pounced! I managed to sell my beige pair within a day of listing them on Depop to make way for them – I couldn’t have asked for a more seamless swap now that I think about it.

I haven’t been relying on my luxury handbags as much on the weekends because we’re out and about with the boys and young boys are sticky and slimy and gross at the best of times. This cute tote bag is one I was lucky enough to take home with me from the recent Marks & Spencer styling event and it’s proven to be a hard working thing! I love the simplistic design but it also serves a great functional purpose thanks to its comfortable straps and durable canvas.

This whole outfit is very simple, so I wanted to add a bit of interest with some jewellery bits. All of my ‘fun’ jewellery is from Arms of Eve – I’m really digging their pieces at the moment. Silver forms the base for all their items and the gold toned items are plated in, you guessed it, 19k gold. I wear my jewellery in the shower, when I’m going on walks (often sweaty) and I’ve had no issues with tarnishing. They were certainly made to last. You’ll recognise the earrings I’m wearing in the majority of my GRWM reels on Instagram, and I’ve layered two of their necklaces to zhuzh up my outfit.

Meanwhile, I’m playing a bit of catch-up with sharing outfits I’ve been wearing recently and I haven’t had a chance to post on the blog as much as I’d like to! I admit I struggle to stay on top of the various social media platforms I’m on and the backlog has built up as we’ve had some busy weekends recently – which have been great fun, but prevent me from having a decent chunk of time to get my teeth stuck into blog things and YouTube videos. Never fear, I’ll get back in the groove one things settle soon.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I’ve found the best dupes for the Celine Classic Box Bag!
