Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of attending a lunch event with Marks & Spencer and LTK Australia where we were treated to a styling session with Angie Smith who talked through her 12 piece edit from M&S’ womenswear collection. It was an exciting opportunity to get a first look at the latest styles from one of the UK’s most iconic high street brands.

The event was held at the iconic Icebergs Dining Room. I’m ashamed to admit that despite being a Sydneysider, I’ve never been inside Icebergs before! I’ve walked past it many a time, I mean, everyone does when doing the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk, so it was a real treat to finally pop that cherry!

I wore a navy and yellow polka dot dress from M&S’ new collection, made from a soft, flowy fabric (with ample room to eat all the food!). Importantly, it was petite friendly! The dress hit me perfectly just above my ankles and was such a fun combination of colour! The dress was a perfect example of the brand’s signature style – classic and timeless, yet with a modern twist.

Arguably the hero piece from M&S’ collection is their trench coat that never goes out of style. The coat is made from a high-quality water resistant fabric and features all the signature details that make it a timeless piece – the double-breasted front, belted waist and classic collar. I’ve had their navy trench coat in my wardrobe for a number of years and I own it in a size AU 6 which I always found a tad too fitted for my liking – so I was very pleased to take home the classic beige version in a size AU 8. It’s the perfect relaxed fit particularly if you plan on layering during the cooler months.

The classic beige is always a staple but you can always shake things up with their cheery pink or sleek black versions. M&S definitely understands that fashion is about self-expression and the trench coat is a perfect canvas to show off your personal style.

The event was a blast and it was so great to connect with all the inspiring women who attended!

Meanwhile, for a limited time, if you sign up to be a Sparks member on the M&S website, you’ll be rewarded with a 20% discount (which applies automatically at check out). If you’re looking for a stylish and versatile coat that will last you for years to come, an M&S trench coat is a great investment.

As always, thanks for stopping by!
