I’m in full Black Friday preparation mode guys – I have a running list of things that I have my fingers crossed will be discounted next Friday and if they are, I’ll be ready to pounce! Unlike previous years (where I used the sales as an excuse to buy a fancy something-something), the list I’ve compiled this year is made up of a lot of comfortable and practical things that have been on my radar.
So here’s what I’m hoping goes on sale:
#1 – Nike sneakers

I need a replacement pair of training sneakers as I’ve really worn down the pair I’m currently wearing which I’ve been using since 2019. The React Flyknit sneakers are a style I’ve been wearing for years. They’re lightweight, streamlined in their look, and call me boring but I like the monochrome design. They’re currently 25% off on The Iconic, but I’m holding out in the hopes for a bigger discount next week. I think my poor heart will be broken if they don’t form part of the sale and revert back to full price! Let’s hope that doesn’t happen shall we!
#2 – Country Road dress

This linen jersey tank dress has been around for a while, and it comes in 5 different colours at the moment (I’m pretty sure I’ve tried on 4 out of 5 of the colours with the many visits I’ve paid to the Country Road store in the city!). While I initially had my heart set on the sage version of the dress, the new chocolate brown version now has my heart. Depending on whether they are discounted (and how big the discount is), I’d like to snap up both! The size XS works well on me.
#3 – Anine Bing Skirt

I already own the Bar Silk Skirt in black which I bought in February this year. It has been one of my best purchases ever and has integrated into both my work and weekend wardrobe given how versatile it is. The new steel blue version looks like a dream and given it’s only just been released, might be a long shot to be discounted in the upcoming sale. I’ve got my heart set on it even if it’s not discounted! But I am willing to wait the week in the hopes that it might be!
#4 – Patagonia cap

I went down a Pinterest spiral the other day and started pinning a heap of looks from Miroslava Duma, a supremely well dressed petite fashion icon/venture capitalist extraordinaire. She’s one of those people that can rock a hessian sack and still look amazing, but I just loved how she slapped on a Patagonia cap to Paris Fashion Week a few years ago and still managed to look incredible. I popped into Patagonia a few weeks ago to try on their caps and this style worked on my abnormally large head (a great style if you’re not really a baseball cap person). I’m planning on going on a few hikes with my husband soon so I figure it’ll do double duty for both hiking and to incorporate into my everyday looks. Everyone needs a boujee cap right?!
#5 – lululemon tops

If you watched my recent lululemon haul, you’ll recall the in-store experience creeped me out somewhat, so now that I know my size in lululemon, I’m going to be stalking the website come Black Friday. Their workout gear is so good – both functional and stylish, and I have this top and this top on my radar!
#6 – Blunt Umbrella

And to cap it off, with all of the rain that has fallen this year (thanks to this odd weather that’s meant to continue until at least March next year?!), I’d love to get my hot little hands on a Blunt Umbrella. I’ve already equipped myself some solid wet weather gear (see here and here), but I feel like a well-made umbrella would complete the puzzle. The Karen Walker x Blunt Umbrella is the perfect mix of function, practicality and glamour and I know will spark joy when the rain is falling. One of my colleagues has this bright yellow Blunt brolly and raves about how it’s the best umbrella she’s ever had. It’s been raining a lot, so naturally I’ve seen a good deal of that umbrella, and every time I see it under her desk or drying by the window, I inch one step closer to pulling the trigger and buying it. I’m holding out hope it will be discounted next week so I can finally snap one up!
And that’s a wrap on the things I’m hoping to snap up! A mix of practical gear and some wardrobe staples that I’ve had on my radar. What are you hoping to snap up in the sales?! I’d love to know!
As always, thanks for stopping by.
P.S. I’ve rounded up the favourites in my wardrobe that are currently on sale.
