Smart Casual is the dress code that continues to reign supreme in my office so I’ve been styling up my smart casual style by styling down my corporate pieces with a few strategic wardrobe additions. Despite my office’s relaxed dress code, I’m still able to make use of my suits by styling them as separates. Take this outfit for example – my navy suit trousers styled with a relaxed silk shirt and some statement low heels. Comfortable and polished – my smart casual mantra.

My suit trousers are from London-based label, The Fold, one of my favourite contemporary workwear labels for smart workwear options (think wrinkle resistant suiting and power dressing capsule wardrobe items). My short-sleeved silk blouse is by Everlane and I branched out from my usual neutral colour palette with this cinnamon shade. (If you watched my latest YouTube video (also featured below), you’ll recall that my smart casual wardrobe is very neutral centric!) The blouse is a modern take on a classic button down, with a boxier and loose fit (I have this style in two colours because I’m a fan). I’m really pleased with the colour too. On the website it looks more like a chocolatey brown whereas in real life it’s more of a burnt orange tone, which I think suits my skin tone quite nicely!
To complete my look, I’ve taken inspiration from my shirt and opted for a pair of red suede shoes, also from The Fold, to add a bit of fun to my outfit. With the heel being a walkable 45mm height, they add a gentle lift to my look. And they’re comfortable too! The foam cushioning is a welcome addition.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
P.S. The best striped knits currently available and an Autumn OOTD for the office!
