While Autumn is typically my favourite season – this year has been a different story. It has been uncharacteristically wet and miserable and nothing like Autumns past where we’ve been able to enjoy the foliage and temperate climate that the season typically brings. It’s been mainly trench coats and gum boots when I step out of the house (see my post here for my wet weather staples). That being said, things are looking to improve, and those dry pockets we’ve been served with have been prime lightweight jacket weather.

I really love this outfit I’m wearing here – it sums up my style to a tee. A combination of my style staples in neutral tones with a mix of textures. It’s unfussy, comfortable but I still feel sophisticated.
This Arket merino tee has been one of my most worn pieces recently. I picked it up on sale (as you would have seen in my Arket mini haul over on my YouTube channel) and I’ve also got the long sleeve version too. It’s the perfect layering piece being a fitted piece, but it also looks great on its own – the beige melange tone is very flattering on my skin tone. I’ve teamed this with my Anine Bing skirt, which so happens to be my favourite skirt purchase this year (and the only skirt purchase come to think of it 😉). It’s made of a stretch silk but the silk is quite heavyweight and wrinkle resistant. My trusty R.M. Williams boots finish off my outfit (see my try-on of the different styles here) along with this oversized mac coat from Everlane and my newest pre-loved bag purchase – my Celine Nano Luggage bag (I picked it up for $600 – and still can’t quite believe it! – and I’m planning on sharing a video about this purchase verrrrry soon!).

These photos were taken right before I set off with my best friends for a weekend away in Kangaroo Valley a couple of weeks ago – it was our first getaway in six years thanks to Covid and one of the girls living abroad. To say it was a restorative trip would be an understatement. With work and kids taking up most of our energy, it was so great to go away together and enjoy each other’s company without distraction.
