I’m calling it people – brown is the new black (or beige, or white, or whatever colour has been declared ‘in’). That’s right folks, my obsession with neutral tones continues into 2022, although lately I’ve been loving darker shades of brown.

Today’s featured outfit is a combination of a few wardrobe faithfuls and some newbies (that are making themselves right at home). I can get away with wearing this to work thanks to the relaxed dress code that my office has been embracing in light of well, everything that’s happened. My beige trousers from the Frankie Shop are a fixture on this blog and have just been restocked here (I wear a size S), are available in black here (I literally bought these an hour ago), and also come in this melon version if you’re not vibing my love for neutrals (which begs the questions… why are you here?!). Size wise, I take a size S and I’m typically an AU 8-10 in my trousers.

My knit is a recycled cashmere knit from Everlane (that is currently on sale for 60% off). I go between sizes XS and S in my Everlane knits but took this in a size S as I prefer a relaxed fit in this style. The colour is a mix between chocolate brown and charcoal – very autumnal and a great neutral tone.

And while the current Sydney weather didn’t call for it, I played a bit of dress up before heading out and threw my oversized Mac coat over my outfit to see how well the neutrals paired together (one of Everlane’s newer outerwear pieces). It’s safe to say that I’ll definitely be wearing this outfit when the weather cools down in a couple of months. Size wise, I took a size XXS. This one runs oversized!

As always, thanks for stopping by!
