When it comes to the silly season, there are a few go-to’s that I’m sure we all rely upon. There’s the classic LBD – the timeless party staple (and one I’ve relied upon for many office Christmas functions), that reliable dressy blouse that elevates just about any pair of jeans to look party-appropriate, and of course, that fancy clutch that gets whipped out on those extra special occasions.
That said, party dressing doesn’t necessarily need to venture too far from your usual style. And while glamour and sparkles seem to go hand in hand with festive dressing (at least in all those Christmas movies), sometimes a fully sequined dress doesn’t translate to a party in the real world.
There is, however, a happy medium to get you into the festive spirit… it’s all in the shoes!
Sparkly shoes are the perfect way to take your outfit up a few notches during the silly season without having to completely overhaul your personal style. You can still throw on your tried and true LBD, or even opt for your favourite pair of jeans, and a pair of sparkly shoes will effortlessly elevate your entire outfit. I’ve got two pairs of festive shoes from Sarah Flint to share with you and I’ve styled two outfits for each pair using pieces from my existing wardrobe proving that you only need to make minor tweaks to your outfits for maximum effect.
If you’re looking to add a pair of Sarah Flint shoes to your wardrobe, you can take advantage my discount code ‘SARAHFLINT-BAWHATVEEWORE‘ for $50USD off.
I’m no stranger to Sarah Flint’s Perfect Pumps (I’ve got three suede pairs to satisfy all my workwear needs!), so you can imagine my delight when I unboxed these sparkly beauties. It’s like the ultimate work shoe remixed into the ultimate party shoe! They’re made from a two-toned metallic lame fabric that shimmers and sparkles depending on where they catch the light.
The photos don’t do these shoes justice, as they constantly shimmer in person. The gold and silver tones in the fabric mean that you can rely on these shoes no matter what colour jewellery you’re wearing. And because they’re part of the “Perfect” collection, they’re embedded with all these design features to maximise comfort and support.
Need more height? They also come in the 100mm version. Don’t want that much height? Here’s the 50mm version. Not into heels at all? The famous Natalie Flats have just been released in the Gunmetal Lame too!
For a more traditional but equally fun event shoe, the Perfect Sandal is an elegant choice. Again, this style is part of Sarah’s “Perfect” collection, so there’s a steel rod through the stiletto for extra stability, 6mm of padding and arch support just to name a few. This style comes in two heights – 85mm and 100mm – and I’m sporting the lower 85mm height. There’s a lot to say about the Gold Nappa used – it’s a beautifully subtle shade of gold and the perfect mix of gold and silver making styling very easy with your jewellery.
If stilettos aren’t your thing, they also come in a block heeled version in 60mm or a lower 30mm height – both would be the perfect shoe for outdoor events and garden parties (where you would ordinarily sink into the grass!).
If these Sarah Flint party shoes, or any of her shoes tickle your fancy, you can take advantage my discount code ‘SARAHFLINT-BAWHATVEEWORE‘ for $50USD off.
