Like many of you, my heels have had limited use this year for, well, obvious reasons.  Comfort is now my top priority when getting dressed and I’m quite particular when it comes to my shoes.  It’s no surprise to see a number of comfortable (yet very chic) flat shoe trends emerging this year.  Lug sole boots and white sneakers have come into a life of their own while the classic pointed toe flat remains a timeless staple.  But my favourite among them?  Loafers. They’re practical while adding a polished vibe to any outfit.

I recently bit the bullet and added a pair of the Gucci Jordaan Loafers to my wardrobe a couple of months ago. In that short period of time, I’ve managed to put them to good use.  I’ve promised a comprehensive review of the shoes in the near future (once a decent amount of time has passed and I’ve had a chance to properly road test them) but for now, I wanted to share with you four ways that I’ve enjoyed styling my Gucci Loafers.

Looks #1 & #2 – Monochrome

L: Gucci loafers, Everlane knit* (sz XS), Everlane trousers* (sz 2, Short), Celine bag, Ray Ban sunglasses; R: Gucci loafers, Reiss blazer (new season version linked), Sezane knit (worn as scarf), Everlane jeans* (sz 26), Celine bag (review here), Pared sunglasses*

Looks #3 & #4 – Smart Casual for the Office

L: Gucci loafers, The Fold blouse* (sz UK 8), Nobody Denim jeans, Celine bag (review here), Ray Ban sunglasses; R: Gucci loafers, The Curated coat* (sz XS), Arket tee, Everlane pants* (sz 2, short), Celine bag, Ray Ban sunglasses

I’m still mainly working from home, and heading into the office a couple of days a week at most to catch up with colleagues face to face. The office vibe is still pretty casual and I’ve been pitching my outfits to either business casual or smart casual dress codes (depending on how I’m feeling that morning).  I’m sure most office dress codes will revert back to the good ol’ corporate days (particularly if you’re a lawyer like me) but until then, I’m finding my Gucci loafers to be perfect for the transition we’re experiencing.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I’ve compared the two iconic Gucci loafer styles (the Brixton and Jordaan) in this post after managing to pay a visit into the Gucci store after lockdown restrictions were lifted last month.
