To round out my ‘return to the office’ series (see my first and second instalments), I thought I’d save the best ‘til last. One brand that features heavily in my workwear reels has been London-based label, The Fold, known for their impeccable tailoring and quality craftsmanship.  Think luxe fabrics, rich tones and a huge variety of day-to-night options.

The Fold sits at the premium end of the workwear scale prioritising classic and timeless pieces over trend-based items. By investing in these pieces, you’ll be able to enjoy them for many seasons as they’re made to last. From power dresses to statement blouses to classic tailored trousers, there are items for whatever workwear gaps you need filled that you’ll find yourself returning to time and time again.

For reference, I wear a size UK 8 in all my pieces from The Fold (I typically wear a size AU 8/US 2-4).

If you’re ready to step it up in the workwear department, here are my top picks.

(P.S. I don’t have a discount code to share with you at this time, but you’ll be able to obtain a 15% discount code if you will out a short survey on their website.)

Lovely selection. Did you have to shorten the hems of the dresses? How tall are you?

Thanks so much – I’m 5’2 / 158cm. I didn’t shorten the hems. The midi lengths of the dresses are great!

For coats, do you need to size up at all so they fit over sweaters? I’m trying to decide between size but haven’t bought from this brand before so not sure how much give any of the items have/if they run small or large.

i typically stick to my usual size as I find the coats are generally cut to accommodate layering
