With the cooler spring temperatures that we’ve been experiencing this week, I continue to make good use of the beloved knits from my collection (which, thanks to the pandemic, has grown to a decent size!).  Being a self-proclaimed knitwear connoisseur, I know a good knit when I see one.  And in recent weeks, I’ve been lucky enough to be sent some new-in knits from Everlane to try given all you lucky Northern Hemispherians are heading into the cooler season and we’re seeing lots of new styles hit the shelves!  I spent the best part of autumn and winter wearing a knit with jeans or comfy trousers while working from home but they’re also integral in my cold weather outfits for the office tucked into tailored trousers or a pencil skirt.

When it comes to adding new sweaters and knitwear to my wardrobe, I prioritise natural fibres and stick to a relatively conservative colour palette (to get more bang for buck!).  Cashmere is my favourite wool as it’s always chic and deliciously cosy but I also love merino wool for a lightweight and equally sophisticated option.  So, as a public service to you (you’re welcome), I’m sharing with you three new-in knits that I think are deserving of your attention.

#1 – Cashmere Collared Sweater

For a playful take on a basic cashmere knit, this collared sweater features a sweet Peter Pan collar, blouson sleeves and ribbed detailing. I’ve took a size S in the knit, opting for a more relaxed fit, but would have also been happy in a size XS as it’s already a relaxed and rounded cut. It’s the perfect Zoom top, as the collar spruces up any outfit, but provides me with the cosy comfort that I really love when working from my desk at home.

#2 – Cashmere Polo

If I had to pick a favourite of the three, this would be it. I love the olive-toned hue and the design features that make this polo knit so effortless – a buttonless plunge, subtle rib detailing in a relaxed shape. I’ve got a size S in this knit and it’s a relaxed fit on me. Another perfect candidate for a WFH day but I’ve also worn this on the weekends on family walks and lounging around the house with the kids playing Nintendo!

#3 – Felted Merino Half-Zip Sweater

Half-zip sweater* (sz S), Everlane trousers* (sz 2, Short), Sarah Flint flats* (review and discount code here)

This zip-up is reminiscent of my fleece sweaters I constantly wore in high school – but like, waaaay better. It’s relaxed and cosy but it looks and feels incredibly luxe. I’m a little disappointed that the knit arrived at the tail end of the cold weather here (the perks of opposite seasons 🙈) but I’m making the most of it while I can! I took a size XS and it fits me really well (and is still nice and oversized on me).

As always, thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Five of the best high street coats and the knitwear on my radar right now.
