Now that spring has sprung here in my neck of the woods, I wanted to look back on winter and share my five favourite outfits. Granted, my wardrobe didn’t get much air time during winter… 🙈 While the season started off really well – I was back in the office and enjoying working hybrid weeks – that was all short-lived as by late-June, we were working from home again when lockdown restrictions were put in place.

But even in that limited time when I was able to get out and about, you can always count on me to make good use of my cold weather favourites. It is, after all, my favourite season to dress for!

Here’s a round-up of my top 5 ensembles from Winter:

#1 – Drape Trench Coat + Ankle Boots

Everlane trench* (sz XS – review here), Marle top (sz 6), Nobody Denim jeans, Sarah Flint boots* (discount code here), Celine bag (review here, dupe here), Ray Ban sunglasses

To say I was excited to wear these boots once the weather got chilly was a bit of an understatement! I was lucky enough to receive these ankle boots back in April and they’re a lovely taupe shade with a walkable heel. I really love how they look teamed with my lighter denim and I’m in the process of writing a comprehensive review of the boots so you’ll have to look out for that on the blog soon. This trench coat has been a real wardrobe staple during this A/W and it’s a great oversized and relaxed fit – a real sign of the times.

#2 – Winter Neutrals

The Curated coat* (sz XS), Acne Studios scarf, Everlane knit* (sz XS), Dr Denim jeans*, Sarah Flint boots* (discount code here), Celine bag (review here, dupe here), Ray Ban sunglasses

If there was a winter outfit that sums up my style, this has to be it. A cashmere coat, neutral tones and finished off with a scarf draped over – this has been one of my go-to winter outfit formulas for years.

#3 – Camel Wrap Jacket + Skinny Black Jeans

Toteme jacket (sold out, affordable dupe here), Everlane knit* (sz XS), Everlane jeans* (review here), R.M. WIlliams boots, Celine bag (review here), Celine sunglasses

Here’s a relaxed look I wore out and about with the kids on the weekend a couple of weeks before lockdown. My R.M. Williams Boots were a 2021 purchase and they still make me so happy. They’ve got a 5cm block heel so I love the additional lift. That said, they’re still comfortable enough to walk around in all day.

#4 – Chocolate Brown + Denim

Toteme coat, Marle top, Loewe belt, Nobody Denim jeans, Sarah Flint boots* (discount code here), Celine bag (review here, dupe here), Ray Ban sunglasses

Chocolate brown is going to be huge this season and I’m so glad I snapped up this coat a couple of months ago. I love the relaxed cut of the Toteme Annecy Coat (it’s an open coat style with no belt) but I’ve finished off this look with my Loewe belt and it adds the perfect amount of polish for a smart casual look I wore to the office.

#5 – Houndstooth Wrap Coat + Wardrobe Faithfuls

Toteme coat (sz XS), Everlane knit* (sz XS), Everlane trousers* (sz 2, Short), Gucci belt (review here), Sarah Flint pumps* (review here), Everlane bag* (review here), Ray Ban sunglasses

And to round-up my top 5 looks, I couldn’t not include my beloved houndstooth coat that has been one of my favourites of the season. I’ve teamed this coat with some of my wardrobe faithfuls – these Everlane crop trousers and my Sarah Flint pumps – and one of my most used bags at the moment – my Everlane Studio Bag that I’ve just reviewed here.

P.S. Five of my favourite Autumn outfits and five of the best coats on the high street.
