Perhaps it’s loungewear fatigue from 2020, or the fact that people are heading out and about a lot more these days (safely distanced, of course) – but there’s something about the change in season that makes me want to spruce things up a bit.  And while I want to look polished and put together, I’ve picked up some baaaad habits during the pandemic which include growing accustomed to putting in a lot less effort when it comes to getting dressed for the day! 🙈

Whether you’re in the middle of Spring or Autumn, I’ve got five effortless ‘one-and-done’ pieces that are perfect for the transitional season and minimise unnecessary decision making. And not only do they make looking put together as simple as throwing on said garment, they’re perfect for this in-between weather and they’re comfortable and low maintenance.

#1 – Everlane Cashmere Turtleneck Dress

A cosy knit dress for those chillier in-between days.  No Autumn wardrobe is complete without the perfect knit dress. Of course, the cashmere fabric makes this particular knit dress not only so incredibly soft, but also an elevated option. It’s really the perfect balance between your cosy cashmere knit and your most flattering dress making this one of my Autumn favourites from Everlane.

The oatmeal tone of this dress is the perfect neutral shade and is a great base colour for building a light neutral outfit (ie. camel coat, tan boots) or if you want to pitch things darker with a black coat and matching accessories. The possibilities are endless.

#2 – Everlane Jumpsuit

Another great candidate for the office is this Essential Jumpsuit from Everlane – their hero jumpsuit that’s been taken to the next level thanks to the premium Japanese fabrication.

It features an elegant double-V neckline, wide leg and a thick removable tie belt so you can create a more feminine silhouette.  And aside from the fact that it’s made from a premium Japanese fabric, one of its best features is that it’s wrinkle-resistant and machine washable.

#3 – Everlane Shirt Dress

For a piece that transcends both the work and play wardrobes, this shirt dress is a fun and feminine piece.  It features a clean button front, side pockets and a shirred waistline which creates a relaxed silhouette that’s really of the moment.

The midi length looks great with flats or boots making this an ideal peace for those seasonal shifts that we’re all navigating.

#4 – Everlane Shirred Mini Dress

I don’t naturally gravitate towards shorter hemlines but this floral dress has been an exception to the rule with its billowy sleeves, high neckline and neutral-toned print.

It hits me at the perfect spot and I love how it looks with my knee high boots.  This dress is something that I never expected I would love but it has totally won me over and one of my all time Autumn favourites from Everlane.  For reference I’m wearing a size XS. It also comes in black and white.

#5 – Everlane Picnic Jumpsuit

The perfect one-and-done piece for running errands on the weekend or running after your kids.  The style is flattering and comes with a tie belt and adjustable straps.

Length-wise, it hits me below the ankles so I’ve just folded it up a couple of times for an overall relaxed vibe.

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. The newest coat in my collection (a purchase yeeeeears in the making) and three styles of boots I’m embracing this winter.
