What has the simplicity of a dress and the practicality of pants? A jumpsuit of course!  It’s like a dress, but for pants people.  And its primary perk is that it allows you to look polished and put-together with little to no effort: just throw it on and you’re ready to go – no styling necessary – great for those mornings when you’re strapped for time and can’t figure out what to wear.

I’m sporting the Everlane Japanese GoWeave Essential Jumpsuit – their hero jumpsuit that’s been taken to the next level thanks to the premium Japanese fabrication.  The Everlane Essential Jumpsuit features an elegant double-V neckline, wide leg and a thick removable tie belt so you can create a more feminine silhouette.  And aside from the fact that it’s made from a premium Japanese fabric, one of its best features is that it’s wrinkle-resistant and machine washable.  It’s also hard to go past the lovely drape of the fabric and the wide-legged cut puts a swish in my step.

While regular folk will find this comes up cropped, on me the jumpsuit hits just below the ankle (I’m 158cm / 5’2″) and personally, I’m a fan of the length – no tailoring necessary.  I’m wearing a size 0 and I’m a true Australian/UK size 8.  I’ve thrown a menswear-inspired blazer over the top for a casual take on suiting but I also love how it looks on its own.

And an underrated fact about jumpsuits? They don’t have waistbands, which makes them really comfortable to wear (…and makes up for the slightly awks bathroom visits).

Hope you’re having a great week so far.  As always, thanks for stopping by!

P.S. My thoughts on Everlane’s updated Modern Loafers and my designer bag regrets.
