Having squared away my clothing budget for the year, I thought I’d share with you my wishlist of items that I’ve been lusting after in recent months.  I’m constantly served inspiration when I browse on Pinterest and scroll through Instagram, so when I do a second (or third!) take on a high ticket item, I’ll pop it on my wishlist (which I’m constantly updating!).

Unfortunately, my budget doesn’t allow for me to buy all the things I’d like… (and I’m sure most of you can relate to this!) still, it doesn’t mean these items are completely off limits.  This is where my wishlist comes in handy as a central place where I jot down all the things I’ve got my eye on.

My personal shopping habits are such that there is always a big lead up before I make a splurge purchase as I’ll spend a bit of time performing my due diligence beforehand.  Oftentimes, a lot of the items that I’ll pop on my wishlist will end up being taken off as part of this ‘due diligence’ process – this could be due to the fact that I’ve read various negative reviews about the quality of a particular item after continued use, or because my tastes have changed.

In today’s post, I thought I’d share with you the pieces that have been a bit of a mainstay on my wishlist.  My want for them hasn’t dwindled but I’m playing the waiting game with a watchful eye on my financial goals before potentially biting the bullet!

#1 – Fendi Peekaboo

This bag has been around since 2009 and I’ve had my eye on it for years.  Ideally, I’d love to add a medium or large Peekaboo to my collection so that I can cart it to and from the office.  The tan brown version is at the top of my list.  The bag comes up every so often on the pre-loved market, though the price tags are still pretty hefty for me to justify buying it.  That said, I’m happy to play the waiting game until the price is right.

#2 – Celine Nano Luggage Bag

Yet another classic bag on my list and I’ve always had a soft spot for the nano version of this Philo design.  The micro version of the bag was part of my collection for over 5 years and while it was well loved, I found I wasn’t reaching for it as much as I previously was and it always seemed a tad big to take with me when running errands. (You can read my in-depth post about why I decided to part ways with the bag here.)

On the other hand, the nano size is perfect for off-duty with the added convenience of the cross-body strap.  Even though it’s the smallest size, it packs a punch when it comes to capacity that I’d consider taking it with me to the office on the days I needn’t take a laptop with me.  Though, it seems everyone is on the same page as it is the most popular size by far.  Even pre-loved versions of the nano version sell for much higher than their larger counterparts.  I’ll continue to keep my eyes peeled on the pre-loved market and will be ready to pounce if the price is right!

#3 – Manolo Blahnik Maysale Mules

Ahhh… is there a mule that is more beautiful and timeless?  I think not!  Despite being a classic design, I’ve had a lot of trouble finding a pair of these on the pre-loved market.  At the moment, I can’t justify their retail price but would certainly reconsider my position if I reached particular goals this year or decided to part ways with other pieces in my wardrobe.  I’d love to add the navy suede version to my collection (surprise surprise 😂).

#4 – Acne Studios Musubi Bag

I love the minimal aesthetic of the Musubi bag and the personality it gets thanks to the twisted knots.  It reminds me of the Miu Miu Vitello Bow Bag that I owned about 10 years ago, but more pared back in its design.

The Musubi Bag is both playful and polished and all the reviews I’ve read of the bag have been glowing.  I’ve got my heart set on adding the mini size in the almond brown leather to my collection.

#5 – Acne Studios Canada Scarf

This particular wishlist item is one that I’m carrying over from my previous wishlist.   Since adding the grey version of the scarf to my collection early last year, I’ve fallen totally in love and want to add more neutral tones to my collection – particularly the camel hue.  The scarves are exorbitantly priced (which is what prevented me from biting the bullet for so long in the first place), but considering the luxury it has brought to me during the colder months and how well-made they are, I really do think they’re worth every cent.

And that’s a wrap on my designer wishlist for 2021! I’d love to hear of what items you have on your wishlist! Thanks again for stopping by.

P.S. The items that you loved most from my recommendations and setting clothing budgets for 2021.

I gave a grey Acne Canada to my husband a few years ago and now I’ve stolen it from him 🙂
Tried the musubi after all the raving reviews, but unfortunately it didn’t suit me.
I’m on the hunt for a small black crossbody and absolutely love the Celine Nano, but not the price…

Nice! The Canada scarf is lovely and oversized =)
What size Musubi did you try out?
At the moment I’m using the Celine Trio as my cross-body/errand-running bag. I know what you mean about the price of the Nano luggage – even the pre-loved prices are high!

I tried on the mini size, and I was really hopeful after reading a ton of reviews/ watching youtube videos, but I can’t really pinpoint what it was, but I think part of it was that it stood out so much from my body.

Yes I also have the Celine Trio, but I’m a little bit afraid to use it since it feels a bit fragile. I want to have something more sturdy and carefree when I’m in the playground etc with the kids. But I love the trio so maybe I just have to start using it.

That’s so interesting to know because the mini size is what I’m after. I’m going to try it on again and see how I go with it.
As for the Trio, I use it when out and about with the kids – even when we head to the playground! It’s held up quite well and the strap is still in excellent shape despite its delicate look x
