For many of us, it has been over a month since we made a hard and fast pivot from working out of the office to working from home. While working from home isn’t a new arrangement for me given I have a set day a week that I do so, working from home for an extended period of time is something I haven’t done until now.

After an initial teething period, I’ve been honing in on the things that facilitate a productive work day – from heading out for walks with the family early in the morning before starting work, to having a dedicated (albeit makeshift) work space, to the pieces I’ve been wearing that have lifted my spirits.

Behold, my current WFH clothing favourites that have sparked joy (and productivity!) when worn:

Knitwear

There’s knitwear for every mood and taste.  I love my knitwear. This Everlane knit has been a standout. From the lush camel colour to the cosy mock neckline and in the softest cashmere.

Another standout piece has been this Marks & Spencer ribbed knit top that I put in the dressier category. Admittedly, there have been days that I’ve paired this with track pants and I’m sure I’m not alone in dressing from the waist up! It’s unfortunately sold out but there are similar versions here and here.

Elevated tees

Basic tees are in every person’s wardrobe but this tee with the shoulder pads has been bringing a little extra to the table – both sartorially and with my general mood!

Flat shoes and sneakers

If I’m honest, work from home footwear for me is non-existent – but when I am wearing shoes on short excursions, I’ve been sporting these extremely comfortable Everlane flats (that go with everything) as well as sneakers – comfort earns high priority.

Soft wool scarf

My Acne Studios Canada Scarf is cozy, luxurious and a WFH essential. I’m always wearing it while at my desk as it is quite cool inside our house and when it’s chilly out, I’ll casually fling it over my coats or jackets for our morning walks.
