With the weather noticeably cooling in Sydney, the chill in the air has got me fired up to wear my coats and jackets. A/W is by far my favourite season in the sartorial department and all year round I’m searching for coats to add to my collection.

While coat trends come and go, a select few have a timeless appeal and can be relied on year in year out, thereby maximising cost per wear. Styles that spring to mind include trench coats (which I’ve talked about here), the ubiquitous camel coat and – the topic of today’s post – light neutral coloured coats.

The biggest shift in my personal style this year (in line with my style goals for 2020) has been the addition of lighter neutrals to my wardrobe.  A/W is usually a time when I’d rely on black and navy, so it’s been refreshing to mix things up with a lighter colour palette.

I took the liberty of rounding up the best light neutral coloured coats at every budget (from ~$100 styles to, well, let’s just say slightly more extravagant offerings) and put them all in one convenient little roundup.

I hope you’re all staying safe and positive during this time. It has been a long weekend like no other but we’ve been making the most of our time at home. One of the highlights of our long weekend has been going out for short family walks early in the morning. We’ve also been picking up new habits since being at home – cooking more, reading more, actually calling family and friends rather than texting. These have been our silver linings.

As always, thanks for stopping by.
